2face'e New partner, Natasha Osawaru, Addresses "Diabolical Beads" controversy.

In a recent interview with popular blogger, Stella Dimoko Korkus, Natasha Osawaru, the new partner of Nigerian music legend, 2Face, has addressed the controversy surrounding the beads worn by the singer.

According to her, the beads were given to her on her birthday and represent a Princess from a Royal family.

She explained that the pearl on 2Face's neck was given to her by her grandfather, who received it from the Queen of England.

Osawaru denied allegations that the beads contain "jazz" or "juju," stating that they are simply traditional beads that 2Face liked and chose to wear

Question – Let me ask you about the beads Tuface is wearing that his mum mentioned, did you gift them to him? do they contain Jazz or juju?

Those beads were given to me on my birthday, they represent a Princess from a Royal family, You know i am from the Igbinedion Royal Family. On my last Birthday, my mum gave me three nice beads, they call it ”EZENEKA”which means River that never runs dry. The pearl on his neck was given to me by my grandad , the queen of England gave it to him when she was alive… You know my grandad was a knight to the Queen of England.. So they are just traditional beads, he liked them and wore them, there is nothing to it and are not diabolical and do not also contain juju … I did not wear them on him, he saw them and liked them and wore them, if you observe you will see that he likes beads a lot and has been wearing several before now…

Question -We have seen some videos, you are very jovial and energetic and all over the place, people are alleging that you take something to get high….

I entered the Assembly at the age of 28, I am 29 right now, so when people see people with that kind of energy, what do you want them to say? All this alleging and alleging, I dont care about them because I am who i am and a happy person…I dont even have an Instagram account so i dont get to see or read all these allegations…I am not personally on any social media so whatever you are telling me now that people are allegating will be the first time i will hear it.

    Key Excerpts from the Interview:

Interviewer:  There have been questions about the beads 2Face is wearing. Did you gift them to him, and do they have any connection to jazz or juju?

Natasha: The beads he is wearing were given to me on my birthday, symbolizing a princess from a royal background. I come from the Igbinedion Royal Family, which has a rich history. My mother gifted me three beautiful beads for my birthday, and they are referred to as "EZENEKA," which means 'River that never runs dry.' As for the pearl on his neck, that precious item was given to me by my grandfather, who received it from the Queen of England during her lifetime. You see, my grandfather was honored to be a knight under her. They are just traditional beads; 2Face liked them and decided to wear them. There’s nothing more to it, no jazz or juju involved at all.

Interviewer:You have a strikingly vibrant and lively personality, and some people are suggesting that may be due to substance use. What’s your response to those claims?

Natasha: I entered the Assembly when I was 28, and now I’m 29. When people see someone full of energy like I am, it's only natural for them to speculate. But honestly, I don’t let those allegations get to me. I embrace who I am and choose to live a happy life. I don’t even have personal social media accounts, which means I miss a lot of the chatter online. So, what you’re telling me about these allegations is actually news to me.

Interviewer: There seems to be a presence of social media accounts in your name. How are those managed?

Natasha: Those accounts are run by my team; I had them created to help manage my public image and projects. I made it clear to them that I don't want to hear about the negative narratives being circulated on those platforms. My primary focus right now is my career, and I’m on a promising path. That's where my energy is going, and I’m truly excited about the future.

Through her remarks, Natasha not only defended the traditional significance of the beads but also highlighted her commitment to authenticity and joy in her life and career. With her vibrant personality and clear perspective, she continues to stand strong against criticisms while supporting her partner, 2Face, in the public eye.
