If the laws permitted that i run again, Abians will still chose me and they know it- ikpeazu

If the laws permitted that i run again, Abians will still chose me and they know it!"

In a recent statement, former Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu expressed pride in his tenure, highlighting significant initiatives that he believes benefitted the community. One of his notable contributions was the introduction of a ₦500 child support program, which provided financial assistance to every woman giving birth in Abia State.

"I gave my best as a governor of Abia state, i made sure every woman who gives birth in Abia state gets free ₦500 as child support from the government."

Ikpeazu  reminisced about a time of increased joy and growth in the region, as he noted a surge in birth rates during his administration compare to the present day.

He emphasized the importance of acknowledging successes rather than dismissing a predecessor's efforts.

"Anyone who enters leadership and claims that everything their predecessor did is wrong is a lazy leader."he stated

He challenged critics to recognize the world-class infrastructure developed during his time, including his contribution to constructing flyovers, urging them not to overlook his achievements among Nigeria's top-tier projects.

Ikpeazu expressed confidence that if the laws allowed him to run for office again, the people of Abia would choose him once more. He also recalled his initiative to provide meals for children from Nursery 1 to Primary 6, a program that significantly encouraged school enrollment among parents. "Unfortunately, this initiative was not sustained after my departure from office," he lamented.
