"Fubara vacates the Government House."

The Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, has officially vacated the Government House in Port Harcourt, departing with his family and security detail.

According to a reliable source who spoke on the condition of anonymity due to the sensitive nature of the situation, Fubara left the seat of power on Wednesday morning.

Currently, security presence at the Government House appears limited, although two Armoured Personnel Carriers, which were positioned outside the premises on Tuesday night, remain stationed there along with a small number of security personnel.

At the time of this report, normal life continues in Port Harcourt and the surrounding areas. Additionally, Vice Admiral Ibokette Ibas (retd.), appointed by President Bola Tinubu to oversee the state for the next six months, had yet to take office as of 12:50 p.m. on Wednesday.

It is noted  that preparations are being made for his arrival, with approximately 15 soldiers seen inside the Government House in anticipation of his expected entry.
