The Lagos State Police Command has apprehended 56-year-old Kamoru Ojo in connection with the alleged murder of his 27-year-old daughter, Shakirat Ojo. The disturbing incident is reported to have occurred at their residence in Afromedia, Lagos, on March 26, 2025.
According to police sources, the matter came to light following a distress call made to the Okokomaiko Police Division on April 3, prompting immediate action. It is alleged that Kamoru Ojo fatally assaulted his daughter and subsequently buried her in a shallow grave within their compound at No. 31 Oshinlemo Street.
Upon receiving the report, a specialized team of homicide and crime scene investigators promptly visited the site. They documented the scene and exhumed the body, which has since been transferred to a public morgue for a detailed autopsy.
Kamoru Ojo is currently in police custody as authorities work diligently to uncover the full circumstances surrounding this tragic incident. As investigations continue, the community remains in shock over the alleged domestic violence that resulted in such a heartbreaking outcome.
