Kamala Harris Backs Protests Against Trump and Musk, Urges Americans to Raise Their Voices

Former U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris has publicly endorsed the rising protests against President Donald Trump and billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk. In a bold statement, she called on Americans to amplify their voices in opposition to what she deems alarming policy changes under the Trump administration.

Harris, who faced Trump in the 2024 presidential election, took to her X account to express her support for citizens who are mobilizing against aggressive reforms associated with the administration’s controversial Project 2025 initiatives.

“Today, in every state across our nation, Americans are standing up to the administration as they push Project 2025 forward at full speed,” she stated.

“Thank you for using your voices and the power of protest to advocate for vital programs like Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, the Department of Education, and initiatives such as Head Start. Together, we are fighting for clean air and water and for the fundamental right to make decisions about our own bodies free from government interference. The voices of working people will always be louder than those of unelected billionaires.”

On April 5, 2025, tens of thousands of Americans gathered nationwide to protest against the sweeping reforms proposed by the Trump administration. Central to the unrest is the contentious Project 2025, along with recent efforts aimed at significantly reducing government spending. Many critics worry these changes could undermine crucial social services and essential public programs.

In defense of its actions, the White House issued a statement touting the “early results” of the administration’s reforms. Highlighted was the creation of the Department of Government Efficiency, spearheaded by Musk, which has initiated audits and reviews across key sectors, including education, healthcare, defense, and foreign aid.
