The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) has expressed its condolences to the governor of Katsina State, Dikko Umaru Radda, following the passing of his mother, Hajiya Safara’u Umaru Barebari.
In a statement issued by NGF chairman and governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Forum acknowledged the life of service, devotion, and dignity that Hajiya Safara’u embodied. They extended their sympathies to the people and government of Katsina State, as well as to her children and grandchildren.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with His Excellency, his family, and the people of Katsina State during this difficult time. We also offer our condolences to Her Excellency Hajiya Hauwa Radda, the widow of former President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, GCFR,” the statement read.
The Forum added, “We pray that Allah eases the accounting for Hajiya Safara’u, grants her a spacious resting place, and admits her into Al-Jannah Firdaus. We also beseech Allah to strengthen the family during this period of loss.”
