profound grief filled the air in Uga community, Aguata Local Government Area, Anambra State, as family, friends, schoolmates, and sympathizers gathered to bid a painful farewell to three young siblings whose lives were tragically cut short in an incident that sent shockwaves across the state.
The siblings, two girls and a boy, aged between five and nine years were found dead in a freezer at their home earlier this year, a calamity that has plunged their family and the community into deep mourning.
The funeral mass took place at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Umueze Uga, where emotions ran high. Mourners dressed in black wept openly, struggling to process the tragedy. Priests, schoolchildren, colleagues, and sympathizers gathered in reflection, sharing in the heavy silence that permeated the church.
Mr. and Mrs. Udochukwu Ejezie, the grieving parents, described the loss of their children as an unimaginable nightmare, the greatest shock of their lives.
They expressed heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support they have received from the state, the Nigerian police, and the local community.
