Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai has accused President Bola Tinubu's administration of instigating crises within opposition political parties in Nigeria.

‎In an interview with BBC Hausa, El-Rufai mentioned consulting various political figures, including former President Muhammadu Buhari, before leaving the APC for the Social Democratic Party (SDP). He criticized the APC, asserting that justice is absent within the party and that appointments are now controlled by a select group from Lagos State.

‎Additionally, El-Rufai accused Tinubu's government of orchestrating crises in opposition parties like the Labour Party and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to facilitate Tinubu's re-election in 2027. He claimed these crises are funded by the government to distract party leadership from their core functions.
