Independence Bridge Closure for Essential Maintenance Begins April 1

In a statement released on Monday in Lagos, the Federal Controller of Works, Mrs. Olukorede Kesha, informed the public that the bridge is expected to remain closed until the end of May 2025.

This closure will impact traffic coming from Ahmadu Bello Way and Adeola Odeku heading towards Marina, Eko Bridge, and Onikan by Zone 2.

Kesha urged motorists to plan their journeys in advance and use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion during the maintenance period. She expressed her apologies for any inconvenience caused by the closure and thanked the public for their understanding and cooperation as the government prioritizes the safety and stability of road infrastructure.
