Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has once again reached out to the Rivers State House of Assembly, proposing March 19 at 11:00 a.m., or another convenient time, for the presentation of the 2025 state budget.
Hon. Martin Amaewhule, Governor Fubara referenced his previous attempt to present the budget on March 12, which was thwarted due to his denied access to the Assembly premises.
The Governor emphasized that his initiative aligns with a Supreme Court ruling mandating the Assembly to perform its duties within constitutional boundaries. He also reminded the Speaker of the Assembly's prior 48-hour ultimatum for the budget's presentation, issued before he received a certified true copy of the judgment and enrolled orders.
