Umar Damagum, the Acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has come out swinging against critics, denying allegations of incompetence and collusion with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). He also defended his relationship with FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, saying, "I know him, just as many others do." Damagum emphasized his loyalty to the PDP, referencing his long-standing commitment to the party since 1999.
Damagum dismissed claims of being an APC puppet, saying, "May God judge between me and those who slandered me."
