Inaugural Mass of Pope Leo XIV to be held on May 18

 The Holy See Press Office has released the schedule for the newly elected Pope Leo XIV's first three weeks, culminating in his inaugural Mass on May 18th. 

‎  Schedule of Events for Pope Leo XIV: 

‎   1.  May 10 (Saturday): Meeting with Cardinals . 

‎   2.  May 11 (Sunday): Regina Caeli prayer from the Central Loggia of St. Peter's Basilica . 

‎   3.  May 12 (Monday): Meeting with the international press . 

‎   4.  May 16 (Friday): Meeting with the Diplomatic Corps (Heads of Mission) . 

‎   5.  May 18 (Sunday): Mass for the Beginning of the Pontificate, 10:00 AM, St. Peter’s Square . 

‎   6.  May 20 (Tuesday): Taking possession of the Papal Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls . 

‎   7.  May 21 (Wednesday): First General Audience . 

‎   8.  May 24 (Saturday): Meeting with the Roman Curia and Vatican City State employees . 

‎   9.  May 25 (Sunday): Regina Caeli and taking possession of the Papal Basilica of St. John Lateran . 

‎ Pope Leo XIV's inaugural period will be a busy one, filled with significant events and meetings leading up to his official inaugural Mass on May 18th in St. Peter's Square.  The schedule reflects the important early steps in establishing his papacy.
